Dior Rosy Glow Blush

Up until recently, I have always said, buying expensive “high-end” make up was a waste  of money. Drug stores do such a great range of lower price products its pointless spending so much on overpriced makeup where you are just paying for the name.

But as I get older, my skin seems to be getting more sensitive and more and more I was finding that cheaper products were causing me to have breakouts. I like the quality of these higher end products. I also love the experience of buying them. Browsing department store make up counters is something I love to do. And there is the packaging……. As you know I actually go weak at the knees for beautiful packaging so I confess, I am now a regular user of expensive make-up. I have not given up on drugstore products, there are still may that I use but I like to mix up my makeup collection.

This is my first Dior makeup purchase. I was looking for a new blusher and was shown this by the Dior sales consultant. I immediately dismissed it as it was far to bright for me but before I knew it I had been ushered to a stool and she was applying the product to my cheeks. She assured me that the colour always scared people but it was a very subtle shade when on the cheeks.

When she showed me my face in the mirror I was braced expecting to see a clown looking back at me, but no…. It was me with a very natural, pretty flush.

She was right it was a lovely subtle, natural shade.

So, I was sold.

I have used this now everyday for about a month and absolutely love it. It’s very easy to apply and I have actually had a few people ask me about what blush I am wearing because they love it.

The blush comes in a lovely chrome style compact with a mirror and brush. I have not used the brush though because I have not found the need to re-apply this throughout the day.

It also comes complete with velvet pouch.

Thanks for reading.

  1. I know exactly what you mean. I instantly thought that would be way to bright for me- I always opt for a more peachy pink but I might have to check this one out now. Thanks for the review!

  2. sometimes the drug store doesnt seems to be targeted at younger customers, I wish the drugstore would develop more stuff with older skin in mind. great post
