Elemis Skincare

As you will know, I am a massive fan of Liz Earle Skincare. But, I am still always on the look out for even better products.

So I decided to give Elemis a try.

I started using most of the products immediately and have been using them for about 2 months now so I think that’s enough time to give a fair review.

I use the cleansing oil every night to remove my make-up. I put about 2 pumps of the oil in my palms and then smooth it across any face and work it in using my fingertips. I then remove using a flannel soaked in warm water. The oil feels very nice on my skin and removes all traces of make-up. My skin always feels very clean after using it and not dry like some cleansers can leave my skin feeling. You don’t need much of this oil. I think this will probably last me at least another 6 months.

I then spray the apricot toner onto a cotton pad and wipe it over my skin. You can also spray the product directly onto your face but I prefer to put it on a cotton pad. The toner smells lovely and leaves my skin feeling very refreshed so it basically does everything you would want a toner to do.

I have been really impressed with both the cleansing oil and the apricot toner and will definitely continue to use them.

The marine cream left me less impressed unfortunately. It’s quite a thin, watery cream. I used this in the morning under my foundation.

But, after a few days of using it, I started to break out in spots. I wasn’t sure which product was causing the breakout but stopped using the cream first and then my skin cleared up so I have to assume it does not agree with my skin. Therefore, I no longer use this cream.

The hand and nail cream is really nice. In fact, that’s all gone now. I was smothering my hands in it every night and it did really help make them soft and smooth. My hands are typically very dry, so I love a good hand cream and this did not disappoint. It has a nice light fragrance too, I would definitely purchase this again.

I love the body balm. It’s very rich and creamy and I have been applying it every night and it’s really helped soften my dry skin particularly on my feet and legs.

I have only just started using the bath and shower nectar. Its got the lovely frangipani fragrance. I had never hear of frangipani before so had to google it. It’s an exotic flower apparently but the scent it really nice.

So with the exception of the Marine Cream, I like these products and would re-purchase some again. I do still prefer Liz Earle for my face though. I think the cleanse and polish is going to take some beating.

Thanks for reading

Louise
