Ok so I know I am late to the Dermacol party but I was trying to resist this product because it’s so cheap I thought it was bound to react with my sensitive skin and although the reviews have general been really good, It really can’t be that great when it only costs £8.74 can it??
We have all seen the adverts for it, with it being applied to cover tattoos, birthmarks etc and completely making them disappear, so although I didn’t want it to cover anything like that, I was intrigued about its coverage as a foundation.
I got mine from Amazon. It always difficult choosing the right shade online but I went for shade 213. There are 14 shades available.
This is a described as a film studio, full coverage make-up. Suitable for use on face and body, its Hypoallergenic, SPF 30 and waterproof.
When it arrived I went straight in, using it as a foundation. Immediately I knew I didn’t like it. The colour was pretty close to my natural skin tone but it had a pinky tone to it so my face just looked a wierd colour. So I removed it and threw the tube in a drawer and forgot about it.
Recently I was reading blog and they mentioned how they were loving using Dermacol as a concealer so I retrieved mine from the drawer and started using it.
You really only need a tiny amount of this product as it’s quite thick. I dab a few dots under my eyes with my finger, then I blend it out using my makeup sponge. It blends easily and completely covers any dark circles. It doesn’t sit in creases either as its very creamy. It dries well with no flaking. It’s very long-lasting too. I set mine with powder so my make up lasts all day long.
I have to admit, I am really impressed with this as a concealer. It’s not caused any breakouts so my skin seems to like it.
It’s probably one of the best concealers I have used. I just love how natural it looks and how flawless my skin is.
I also put a bit around my nose where I have some redness and this completely covers it.
So, if you haven’t tried it yet, give it a go. If you have tried it, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
