I have always loved any Chanel makeup or skin care that I have tried, but this is the first time I have tried any sort of concealer from the brand.
I liked the sound of this face pen which is particularly for the eye area. Its designed to highlight and brighten and it contains light reflecting and colour correcting pigments.
I got this in the lightest shade – 20 Beige Clair.
As you would expect from Chanel, the packaging is beautiful with their simple black and gold design. The pen itself has a brush applicator which is comfortable to use. You twist the top of the pen to disperse the product, then paint it onto your skin.
I apply a triangle shape under my eye, then I blend it out using a real techniques sponge. I also blend it up, onto my eyelid. it’s a nice creamy formula but it’s not too thick so it doesn’t look cakey.
This is a before I applied –
And this is after –
It definitely brightens and evens out my skin tone, but if I am honest, there are similar products available which are cheaper and just as good. Also, this only comes in three shades. I got the lightest one but I would still of preferred something lighter which would brighten even more. I definitely don’t think this would be suitable for people with very pale skin.
I will continue to use this, but I don’t think I would buy it again.
Have you ever tried this?
