The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution

I did a blog post a while ago about how much I loved Alpha-H Liquid Gold. I got lots of comments from people telling me I should try The Ordinary Glycolic Acid Toning Solution because it was just as good but a fraction of the price.

I had wanted to try something from the Ordinary range because they always get such fantastic reviews but I was always hesitant because just how good could their stuff be when it’s like £6????

So, I took your advise and got the Toner. I have been using this for about a month and have been using it as a toner after cleansing each evening.

First of all, I was really impressed with the packaging it doesn’t feel like a cheap product, it feels premium. This 200ml bottle was £6.80 from Cult Beauty.

The Ordinary Toner has 7% Glycolic Acid compared with just 5% in the Liquid Gold.

This stings more when you apply it which is understandable as it contains more acid. Its got no smell which I like. I am starting to really go off heavily perfumed skincare.

I have to admit, because it’s so cheap I was prepared for it to set off my sensitive skin but amazingly it hasn’t. This toner just feels really premium. Its fantastic value for money.

Each morning, after using this the night before, my skin feels lovely and smooth.

I think I prefer the Liquid Gold because I think I my skin looks brighter and feels slightly smoother and softer from using it, but this costs £33.50 for 200ml !!

As I have a bottle of each I am going to continue using both, alternating the nights I use it.

I will definitely be buying this Ordinary Toner again and can’t wait to try more products from this brand.

Have you tried this product? what would you recommend I try next?

Thanks for reading
